These Terms of Service ("Terms") govern your use of the EZ Car Keyz website (ezkyz.com) and our mobile automotive locksmith services. By using our website or services, you agree to these Terms.

Services

EZ Car Keyz provides mobile automotive locksmith services including but not limited to: car key replacement, key fob programming, transponder key programming, vehicle lockout service, ignition repair and replacement, and related automotive lock and key services.

We operate in Ventura County (805 area) and San Diego County (619 area). Service availability depends on your location and our current schedule.

Pricing and Payment

• All pricing is quoted before service begins. The price quoted on the phone is the price you pay.
• Quotes are based on the vehicle information you provide. If the vehicle or situation differs from what was described, the price may be adjusted before work begins. You will be informed of any changes and must approve before we proceed.
• We accept cash, credit cards, Venmo, and Zelle.
• Payment is due upon completion of service.
• We do not offer refunds on completed key programming services, as keys are cut and programmed specifically for your vehicle and cannot be reused.

Service Warranty

We stand behind our work. Our warranty covers:

• Key cutting: If a key we cut does not mechanically operate your locks, we will recut or replace it at no charge.
• Programming: If a key or fob we programmed stops communicating with your vehicle due to a programming error (not battery failure or physical damage), we will reprogram it at no charge within 30 days of service.
• Parts: Key blanks and fobs are warranted against manufacturer defects for 30 days from date of service.

Warranty does not cover: physical damage, water damage, battery failure, or issues caused by modifications to the vehicle's electrical or security system after our service.

Customer Responsibilities

• You must provide accurate vehicle information (year, make, model) when requesting a quote.
• You must be the vehicle owner or have authorization from the owner to request locksmith services. We may ask for proof of ownership (registration, title, or ID matching the registration).
• You must be present at the service location or designate someone to be present on your behalf.

Proof of Ownership

As a licensed locksmith (BSIS License LCO#6792), we are required to verify vehicle ownership before providing key services. We may request one or more of the following:

• Vehicle registration
• Vehicle title
• Photo ID matching the registration
• Insurance card showing the vehicle

If ownership cannot be verified, we reserve the right to decline service.

Cancellation Policy

• You may cancel a service appointment at no charge before our technician departs for your location.
• If our technician has already departed or arrived at your location, a trip fee may apply.

Limitation of Liability

EZ Car Keyz is not liable for:

• Pre-existing vehicle conditions or damage not caused by our service
• Delays caused by circumstances outside our control (traffic, weather, vehicle access issues)
• Loss of use of the vehicle beyond the time required to complete the requested service
• Indirect, incidental, or consequential damages arising from the use of our services

Our total liability for any claim related to our services shall not exceed the amount paid for the specific service in question.

• The content on ezkyz.com is for informational purposes. While we strive for accuracy, pricing and availability may change without notice.
• You may not reproduce, distribute, or use our website content without written permission.
• We are not responsible for the content or privacy practices of third-party websites linked from our site.

Text Messaging (SMS)

EZ Car Keyz offers a text messaging service for customers who contact us about automotive locksmith service. By texting one of our numbers, you agree to receive text messages from EZ Car Keyz about your service request. Message and data rates may apply. Message frequency varies.

For help, reply HELP to the number you are messaging with, and we will respond with instructions on how to use the service and how to unsubscribe.

To stop receiving messages, reply STOP to the number you are messaging with. We will reply to confirm that you have been unsubscribed, and you will no longer receive messages from us. To start again, simply text us as you did the first time.

Carriers are not liable for delayed or undelivered messages.

Participating carriers include: AT&T, Verizon Wireless, Sprint, T-Mobile, U.S. Cellular, Boost Mobile, MetroPCS, Virgin Mobile, Alaska Communications Systems (ACS), Appalachian Wireless (EKN), Bluegrass Cellular, Cellular One of East Central IL (ECIT), Cellular One of Northeast Pennsylvania, Cricket, Coral Wireless (Mobi PCS), COX, Cross, Element Mobile (Flat Wireless), Epic Touch (Elkhart Telephone), GCI, Golden State, Hawkeye (Chat Mobility), Hawkeye (NW Missouri), Illinois Valley Cellular, Inland Cellular, iWireless (Iowa Wireless), Keystone Wireless (Immix Wireless / PC Man), Mosaic (Consolidated or CTC Telecom), Nex-Tech Wireless, NTelos, Panhandle Communications, Pioneer, Plateau (Texas RSA 3 Ltd), Revol, RINA, Simmetry (TMP Corporation), Thumb Cellular, Union Wireless, United Wireless, Viaero Wireless, and West Central (WCC or 5 Star Wireless).

Intellectual Property

All content on ezkyz.com, including text, images, videos, logos, and design, is the property of EZ Car Keyz and is protected by copyright and trademark laws. Our YouTube and TikTok video content is also our intellectual property.

Dispute Resolution

If you have a concern about our service, please contact us directly first. We are committed to resolving issues fairly and promptly. If a dispute cannot be resolved directly, it shall be governed by the laws of the State of California, with venue in Ventura County.

Changes to These Terms

We may update these Terms from time to time. Changes will be posted on this page with an updated "Last Updated" date. Continued use of our services after changes constitutes acceptance of the updated Terms.
