Intelligent Key Battery Failure
JX35 handles ignore you, push-button start does nothing. Nine times out of ten, the CR2032 in the fob is dead. Pop the back, swap the battery. If that fails, call (805) 790-8162; the transponder may need reprogramming.
Key Lockout Protection Malfunction
JX35 owners think the car is broken when it keeps chiming. The lockout protection is misfiring: chimes when the key is in your pocket or stays silent when the key is actually inside. We diagnose sensor vs fob signal on-site.
Transponder Recognition Issues
The NATS immobilizer in JX35 uses an ID46 chip to verify key before allowing the engine to start. When that communication breaks down, you get a no-start condition though the key is right there. This happens after a battery disconnect or a voltage drop. We carry the diagnostic tools to reset and re-register key to the NATS system without a tow to the dealer.
