A long-haul delivery driver pulled over at a truck stop outside Oxnard had his key snap inside the ignition of his 2018 Nissan Armada. The blade broke clean in half. I used my DAT17 Lishi to extract the broken blade fragment from the ignition without scratching the wafer surfaces. Once extracted, I decoded the lock by reading each wafer position for exact cut depths. His car used a separate remote fob, FCC ID CWTWB1G744, and a standalone transponder key. I cut the new blade from the decode and programmed the transponder through OBD.
No drilling, no cylinder replacement, no new ignition assembly. His total was 269. The other locksmith's plan would have run 459 or more. His original lock works with the new key exactly like it did with the old one.
