If you are locked out of the cabin, pull the metal emergency blade out of the fob body and use the driver door cylinder. Swapping the CR2032 after does not require any reprogramming.

Yes. The 2017 to 2022 Giulia and Stelvio have a documented CAN bus attack that sidesteps the key system entirely. Thieves reach the CAN bus by pulling the front bumper trim and tapping into the front radar sensor wiring, then inject commands that unlock and start the car in well under a minute. The fob never enters the equation, which is why Faraday pouches do nothing to block the attack. The real countermeasure is a secondary aftermarket immobilizer that intercepts CAN bus start commands regardless of where they originate.
