The Five Hundred is the sedan that became the Taurus. Ford built the 2005-2007 cars in Chicago on a Volvo S80-derived D3 platform, then renamed the whole line Taurus for 2008 and kept building the same car for another two years. Three model years carrying the Five Hundred badge means there is no parts division at the dealer that still knows the name. We do.
