M3 Launch (2022-2024)
GV70 launched US-market for 2022 on the Hyundai-Kia M3 platform shared with the Hyundai Santa Fe and Kia Sorento. Uses the KK12 keyway, not the HY22 commonly miscredited. 5-button smart fob with proximity entry, push-button start, CR2450 cell. Digital Key 2 Touch and Face Connect are available from launch. Server authentication is full-strength.
Prestige and Sport Trims (Gas)
An eight-button smart key with the same ID47 Hitag 3 chip, but this version adds the NCF29A1X module and two extra buttons for Remote Smart Parking Assist. Those extra buttons let you move the car forward or backward from outside the vehicle. If you have a Prestige or Sport trim and someone programs a six-button key to it, the car will start fine but you lose the parking assist feature entirely.
Electrified GV70
A smart key with an ID47 Hitag 3 chip, but the electrified models use a different platform and may require dealer server authentication for programming. Aftermarket sources sometimes list HY22 for the GV70. Wrong. GV70 uses KK12. We carry both blanks anyway, but the wrong cut wastes hours and gets you stranded.
