Genesis baked OBD-II diagnostics plus server authentication into the immobilizer from day one, so any add-a-key job needs a properly licensed tool stack. We have it on the truck.

IG Mid-Cycle Refresh (2021-2023)

Fifth button shows up on the fob for remote engine start. Battery split: some fobs jump to CR2450, others stay CR2032. The real change happens behind the dash where Genesis dropped a security gateway module between the OBD port and the immobilizer. Without current Autel firmware you are locked out.
