Yes, for most Chrysler models from 2005 onward. All-keys-lost programming on the 300, Town and Country, and Pacifica platforms requires accessing the SKREEM module and syncing new key transponders through OBD-II. We use AutoProPad and compatible FCA-specific programmers to handle this on-site without towing. Some 2021 and newer Pacifica Hybrid models may require dealer-side PIN authentication through Chrysler's wiTECH system, and we confirm that from your VIN before coming out.

Fobik is Chrysler's term for its integrated smart key design, which combines the transponder chip and the remote entry fob into a single unit with a hidden mechanical backup blade inside. Most Chrysler 300 models from 2008 onward and Town and Country minivans from 2008 through 2016 use Fobik keys. The current Pacifica uses a similar proximity smart key system. If your key has no separate blade that folds out and the buttons are part of the key body itself, you likely have a Fobik-style key.

Start by replacing the CR2032 battery in the fob, which does not require any reprogramming afterward. If the battery is fine, try the emergency start: press the brake pedal, then hold the top tip of the fob directly against the Start/Stop button and press it. The button reads a passive signal from the fob's transponder chip even with a completely dead battery. Yes, there was a documented recall covering approximately 248,000 vehicles, specifically the 2010 Dodge Journey, Grand Caravan, and Chrysler Town and Country. On these vehicles, driving over rough roads could cause the key to slip from the Run position to Accessory, cutting off the engine while moving. Chrysler investigated after receiving around 35 consumer complaints and a pattern in owner reports. On some older models, yes. Chrysler supported a basic owner programming sequence for adding remote fobs on certain platforms, which involves inserting the key, pressing the lock or unlock button twice, and cycling to the Run position within 30 seconds. However, this only adds remote functionality and does not handle the transponder chip pairing that is required for the car to start. Chrysler keyless models, including the Pacifica, 300, and Town and Country with push-button start, are susceptible to relay attacks where thieves amplify the fob signal through walls to unlock and start the vehicle. There is also a documented vulnerability involving Flipper Zero firmware that can decode rolling codes from a single captured signal across multiple Chrysler, Dodge, and Jeep models. Chrysler addressed a separate Uconnect remote access vulnerability with a software patch in 2015 for 2013 through 2015 models, but rolling-code fob exploits have no manufacturer patch.
