Second Generation (RTM)
1st-gen Passport 1998-2002 was a rebadged Isuzu Rodeo built under the Honda-Isuzu partnership. Most builds shipped without an immobilizer because Isuzu had not rolled one out yet. Plain mechanical blade with a separate keyless-entry remote on later trims. Honda dropped the nameplate after 2002 then revived it in 2019 as a Pilot-based crossover with smart proximity and ID47.

The 1st-gen 1998-2002 Passport rolled off the same Lafayette Indiana line as the Isuzu Rodeo because that is exactly what it was, a Honda-badged Rodeo under a partnership deal.
