Which Key Does Your XK Have?
A key with a transponder chip but no remote buttons. You get immobilizer security (the car will not start without a programmed chip) but no remote lock/unlock. A separate fob can be added for remote functions.
Combines a physical key blade with integrated remote buttons. One device does everything: unlocks remotely, physically turns the ignition, and communicates with the immobilizer.
A proximity smart key that also has an integrated key blade for backup access. The fob works wirelessly for normal use, and the blade is there for emergencies when the battery dies.

XK Fob Shell Cracked or Broken
The plastic shell of the Jaguar XK key fob can crack from drops or wear. A broken shell exposes the internal circuit board to moisture and damage. We can transfer your electronics to a new aftermarket shell at your location.
XK Key Fob Not Pairing After Programming
If a new Jaguar XK key fob was programmed but does not pair, the programming may have been incomplete or the wrong fob type was used. Different XK trims and years use different FCC IDs that are not interchangeable.
XK Will Not Start With Key Present
If your Jaguar XK recognizes the fob (doors unlock) but will not start, the issue may be a weak fob battery, a failing start button, or an immobilizer antenna malfunction. Try holding the fob directly against the start button - this activates the backup RFID reader inside the button.
Can You Program a XK Key Yourself?
Jaguar XK: No on-board programming procedure exists. Jaguar locked this generation to dealer/locksmith tools only. Professional scan tool with up-to-date Jaguar coverage is required.
Jaguar XK: Professional programming only. The enhanced encryption on this generation eliminated self-programming. All key additions require a calibrated scan tool connected to OBD-II.
