2015 Jaguar XK Emergency Key Replacement - Fast, Affordable & Professional
I got a call on a weeknight from a husband in El Rio. His wife had been over near the Esplanade area in Oxnard with their daughter when someone grabbed her bag. Keys, wallet, phone, the whole thing. The daughter called the police, then her dad, then the dad called me.
The 2015 Jaguar XK was sitting in the garage at home. No keys at all. The Jaguar dealer told him a full all-keys-lost job would take several business days, need a tow, and require clearing the key memory so the stolen fob could never start the car again. The estimate was well into the hundreds, and that was before the tow bill.
I drove out to El Rio that evening. The job on the emergency key side is about cutting the blade correctly. I decoded the lock, cut a replacement blade to match, and tested entry and the ignition cylinder. The security side of the job, clearing the old key data and writing fresh keys to the system, that part needed proper diagnostic tools and I had them in the van.
Both keys were working before the police report was wrapped up. She drove home with her daughter that night. The stolen key is dead to that car now. The dealer estimate was a fraction of what they wanted, and she did not wait a week or pay for a tow.
