KEYZ

Serving Seacoast Drivers Daily
11 PM on a Seacoast side street. Dead fob, no spare, and a 2022 Toyota RAV4 that won't unlock. The owner walked back from SEA180 Coastal Tavern at Pier South, pressed the button, got nothing. I pulled up near Evergreen Ave twenty minutes later, decoded the door with a Lishi TOY48, and paired a new Hitag3 proximity key through the Smart Pro at the vehicle's data port. Streetlights barely reach this stretch of the block, but the van's work lights handle the rest.

WHAT THE VAN CARRIES
Push-to-Start / Smart Key
On a 2020 Honda CR-V near Pier South Resort, the Hitag3 proximity fob wouldn't trigger the start button even pressed flat against the steering column. Salt air had corroded the LF antenna contacts inside the fob housing. I decoded the door with a Lishi HON66, got inside, and started the pairing sequence through the Smart Pro. Here's the thing with CR-Vs running Hitag3: the security handshake forces a ten-minute timeout cycle. No shortcut exists. I wait it out, confirm push-to-start responds from every seat position, then hand over the fob. $245-$325.
Car Key Replacement
On a 2018 Toyota RAV4 off Donax Ave, the TOY48 keyway was the starting point. Lishi TOY48 decoded the lock, Condor XC-Mini Plus cut the blade, and the 8A transponder synced to the immobilizer at the vehicle's data port. Full replacement under a streetlight, no tow involved. $145-$185.
Key Fob Programming
On a 2017 Toyota Camry near SEA180 Coastal Tavern, the remote head key's 4D67 chip had desynced after a bad battery swap. Rolling code no longer matched the receiver module. I reprogrammed the fob with the Autel IM608 and verified both the lock signal and ignition response before handing it back. Took about thirty minutes including diagnosis. $175-$225.
Transponder Key Programming
On a 2019 Toyota RAV4 near the Imperial Beach Pier, the 8A chip inside the key head had been wiped by a failed programming attempt at another shop. I pulled the immobilizer data with the Autel IM608, wrote a fresh 8A to a new blank, and registered it at the diagnostic port. The old key is permanently locked out of the ECU. $145-$185.
