KEYZ

Serving Normal Heights Drivers Daily
Normal Heights driveways hold Corollas, Civics, Altimas, and the occasional RAV4 crammed behind a bungalow on a narrow lot. Most calls here start with someone patting empty pockets outside a bar on Adams Ave. Last one was a 2019 Nissan Altima under the Normal Heights sign, all keys gone. Decoded the door with a Lishi NSN14, cut a fresh blade on the Condor XC-Mini, and synced a new ID46 transponder to the immobilizer using the VVDI Key Tool Plus. Forty minutes from arrival to ignition.

Parking Reality
Street parking dominates neighborhood areas with single-family homes and apartments. Driveways are common on streets like Adams Avenue and 33rd Street. New parking meters have been installed on select Mid-City streets including the Adams Ave vicinity, enforced Monday through Saturday 8am-6pm. The 72-hour limit is enforced citywide, and parking in alleys is prohibited except for active loading. Wheel cramping is required on hills like the 40th Street grades.
Peak CongestionCongestion peaks evenings and weekends near Adams Avenue businesses at the 3000-3100 blocks, where street parking fills quickly. Adams Avenue, 30th/33rd Streets, and Felton Street see the tightest parking during events and commutes.
WHAT THE VAN CARRIES
Ignition Repair & Replacement
Chevy Cruze. Normal Heights sign. Key grinding against worn wafers that won't spring back. I pulled the cylinder and re-wafered to original bitting, but if the bore is scored too deep a rebuild won't hold and the full housing has to go. $165-$225.
Car Key Replacement
Honda Civic. Ward Canyon Park. All keys lost. I decoded the lock with a Lishi HON66, cut a new blade on the Condor XC-Mini, and registered the ID46 transponder through the VVDI Key Tool Plus at the vehicle's data port. $145-$185.
Push-to-Start / Smart Key
Kia Sportage. One-way street near Lestat's. Every fob gone. I ran the full proximity reset with the VVDI Key Tool Plus, programmed a new smart key, and wiped the lost fobs from the system. $245-$325.
Spare & Duplicate Keys
Subaru Outback. Adams Ave, day before a street fair. Couple down to one working key between them. I cut a second transponder on the Condor XC-Mini and synced it through the data port so both drivers have their own. $145-$185.
