J200: LX 570 Remote Head
The LX 570 fuses the buttons and the transponder into a single remote head key. The chip is an ID47 (Texas 4D); battery is CR1632 on the 2008-2015 fobs and CR2032 on the 2016-2021 facelift. Programming runs through OBD-II, so we plug into your diagnostic port and register the fresh key against your immobilizer at the curb.
J310: LX 600 Smart Key
The LX 600 jumps to a proximity smart key with push-button start and an ID49 (PCF7953) chip. This is the involved one. Programming demands Lexus server authentication, which means we cannot always handle it on-site. You hear that up front before the van leaves the shop.
