The dealer process for a 2021 Audi Q3 key goes like this. You call and get transferred to the service department. You schedule an appointment, usually days out. You figure out how to get a car with no working key to the dealer, which means a tow. You sit in a waiting room. You pay 200 plus the tow. Then you drive home and half your day is gone for one key.
A software engineer at his tech startup office in the Camarillo area near Round Mountain Trail could not lose a day to this.
