One thing to know: some Q3 door handles have the lock cylinder behind a small cover. It's there, just not immediately obvious. If you've never used it before, look for a cap on the driver's door handle surround that pops off to reveal the cylinder. The blade slides right in.

If the blade itself is damaged or the fob housing is broken, we can cut a new blade from your key code and replace the housing without reprogramming the chip, as long as the internals are intact.

If a new battery doesn't bring the range back, the issue is either a weak antenna inside the fob or, less commonly, something on the vehicle's receiver side. At that point it's worth having the fob tested before spending money on a replacement you might not need.
