I got a call from a portfolio manager at his investment firm garage in San Marcos. He was in meetings from 8 to 6 and his 2016 Porsche Macan smart key had cracked at the nose that morning when he dropped it getting out of the car. He walked back to his afternoon meeting with a working key and paid $398. Dealer wanted $726 plus a tow. His car never left the garage.
