I picked the door, got him inside, then rehoused his original electronics and installed a fresh CR2032. After that I cut a new HO01 emergency blade and ran the boring test sequence: lock, unlock, trunk, panic, remote start, then start the car and watch for any key warnings.
The human moment was him staring at his phone calendar like the car was about to cancel the day. Once the RLX started and stayed running, his shoulders dropped. I added a second smart key on site so he is not living on one fob again.
