In Ventura, along the Main Street corridor, I met a retired firefighter at the dog park with a 2019 Acura RLX and only one working smart key.

Then I connected to the diagnostic port and registered a new KR580399900 smart key to the Keyless Access System, matching it to the Driver 1 memory slot since that's what his original fob was already set to.
Then the part I never skip. Door handle touch unlock on all four doors, handle lock button, trunk release, panic, remote start, and Walk Away Auto Lock. Acura specs the passive detection range at about 32 inches from the handle, so I tested with the fob in a pocket, not in my hand.
He got his spare without leaving the park. His dog didn't notice a thing.
