An elderly customer in a rural area outside Ventura had lost the only key to her 2015 Kia Optima. The nearest Kia dealer was over an hour away with a multi-day wait. Her car was in the gravel driveway and she had no way to get it anywhere. Her daughter found me online and called.

I drove out with everything for her Optima loaded. I used my HY22 Lishi to decode the door lock, cut a fresh laser blade, then connected through OBD with my IM608 and ran the full key programming with the 6-digit PIN. Her key, FCC ID SY5XMFNA433, was a 4-button remote that I built from scratch in her driveway.

Her car started in the same spot. Total was around 95. A dealer would have charged 200 plus a tow from a location no flatbed wanted to drive to.
