My key broke in the ignition. Can you get it out?

Yes. On older Audi models with a traditional ignition cylinder like the B7 and B8 A4 or 8P A3, broken key extraction is a common call. One 2009 A4 owner had the key jam in the ignition and the car would not start. A 2007 A3 owner had the same issue and ended up needing the lock mechanism pulled and a pin replaced. We can extract the broken piece without damaging the cylinder in most cases, then cut a new blade from the original code and program a replacement. On push-button Audi models, the emergency blade can snap in the door lock if forced, and we handle that extraction the same way.

One C7 A6 owner lost all key detection after a battery disconnect, and it turned out to be a module communication issue rather than a key problem.
