2019 Volkswagen Atlas Key Replacement - Fast, Affordable & Professional
Over near the Lake Poway area, a woman had just bought a used 2019 Volkswagen Atlas off a private seller. Good shape, clean interior, one key. The seller swore the second key was in a junk drawer somewhere and would mail it. Three weeks later, nothing.
She called the dealer first. They quoted her a number she wasn't ready for, told her the key had to be ordered, and said to plan on coming back another day once it arrived. She'd just bought the car. She wasn't in the mood for a two-trip ordeal.
She found me online and we met in a parking lot near her neighborhood before she had plans to run errands. The Atlas takes a mechanical turn key with a transponder chip inside the head. No fob involved, no remote, just a metal key that starts the car. I decoded her existing key, cut a new blade to match, pulled the vehicle PIN through the OBD port, and enrolled the new transponder into the immobilizer on site.
The whole thing was done in the parking lot. She tested it herself, locked and unlocked the door, turned the ignition, engine started clean. No warning lights, no hesitation.
She paid a fraction of what the dealer quoted, didn't have to leave the car anywhere, and drove home with two working keys. The spare went straight onto her keyring. Not a junk drawer.
