2004 Chevrolet Trailblazer Remote Replacement - Fast, Affordable & Professional

An older couple at their home near Ellwood Butterfly Grove called about their 2004 Chevrolet Trailblazer. Getting to the dealer was a real problem for them, not just an inconvenience. Neither drove well in freeway traffic anymore and the dealer was 20 minutes on the highway. Their only key was getting unreliable with the remote and they wanted a spare before it died completely.

I went to their house that morning. Their truck used an older B106 keyway with a separate transponder key and remote fob. I used my B106 Lishi to decode the lock and verify the blade, then cut a fresh key and programmed the transponder through OBD. Their remote, FCC ID MYT3X6898B, was a 3-button fob that I paired at the same time. I showed them how to check the fob battery so they'd know before it died on them again.

They didn't have to leave the house, call anyone for a ride, or figure out transportation to a dealer on the highway. Their total was 77 for two keys. The dealer quoted 173 for one, plus the problem of actually getting there. I set up in their driveway and handed them both keys before lunch.
