2007 Chevrolet Trailblazer Remote Replacement - Fast, Affordable & Professional
I was already in Goleta when the call came in from Storke Ranch. Guy had been using his 2007 Trailblazer's fob with a cracked case held together with electrical tape for about six months. That morning the tape gave up and the fob came apart in his hand in the driveway. He still had his key, so the truck started fine, but the remote was done.
He figured the dealer would sort it out. They quoted him a wait and a number that made him pause, and then he called me instead.
I pulled up to his place with the replacement fob blank and my programming setup already out. The Trailblazer's remote goes through the OBD port for programming, standard stuff on these GM trucks from this era. Got the new fob enrolled, tested all three buttons walking the truck, confirmed it locked, unlocked, and the third button responded clean.
The whole thing happened in his driveway in Storke Ranch, maybe 25 minutes start to finish. He paid a fraction of what the dealer wanted, and his truck never left the spot it was sitting in.
The part I always remember about these calls is how relieved people get over something that sounds minor. A working remote fob on a truck you drive every day matters more than people think until it's gone.
