A landscape photographer at the canyon overlook outside Camarillo realized his fob was gone after a shoot. It must have fallen out of his vest pocket on the trail. His 1995 Infiniti J30 was in the dirt pullout with no key and the nearest Infiniti dealer was over an hour away. Another locksmith he called suggested drilling the emergency lock cylinder. That estimate was over $550.

I used my NI04 Lishi to decode his door lock. It fits the Nissan and Infiniti keyway and reads each wafer position without damaging anything inside the cylinder. It gave me the factory cut depths for a new blade. I cut a fresh emergency key, built the transponder, and programmed the fob through OBD. His remote, FCC ID , was a -button unit that I paired to the IMMO module as part of the all-keys-lost sequence.

No drilling and no cylinder replacement. Total was 95. The other locksmith was quoting 200 with destructive entry. His original lock works with the new key exactly as it always did.
