2018 Jeep Renegade Smart key Replacement - Fast, Affordable & Professional

Do you need to tow your 2018 Jeep Renegade to the dealer? Almost certainly not. For most Jeep models from the late 2000s through the early 2020s, I handle all-keys-lost right at the vehicle.

A retired teacher at the retirement community in Ventura had her only key stop working one morning. Her Renegade was sitting in the carport with push-to-start and no fob the vehicle would recognize. She assumed a tow was the only option and started calling around. I told her to stay put and that I'd come to her.

I connected my Smart Pro to the OBD port and ran the Jeep smart key all-keys-lost procedure, which walks through the security handshake, clears old key data, and learns new fobs step by step. Her smart key, FCC ID M3N-40821302, was a 4-button proximity fob with a SIP22 emergency blade inside. I had it programmed in her carport before 10am. She seemed pretty surprised it could all happen right there.

Her total was about 95. Dealer would have been 200 plus the tow. There are a small number of very new Jeep platforms where the immobilizer is tied to FCA's online system and my tools don't cover AKL yet. Those do need the dealer. But for the vast majority of Jeeps on the road, late 2000s through about 2022, I do all-keys-lost on-site regularly. If yours is an exception, I'll tell you straight up.
