A customer in Spring Valley Village called me on a July afternoon with wedding flowers baking in the back of her locked 2015 Audi Q3. Peonies and garden roses, windows up, AC off, and about an hour before the heat made them unsalvageable. Her remote flip key had died inside the flower shop and the car was locked tight.

When I opened the dead fob, the CR2032 had leaked inside the housing and the corrosion had eaten through one of the internal contacts. The fob was done. Not a swap, not a clean. Done.
I replaced the fob entirely, programmed it through the OBD port, cut a new blade to the vehicle, and walked every function before I called it finished. Lock, unlock, the flip blade, the start. All of it.
From her phone call to the engine running was 43 minutes. The flowers made it to the venue. She did not lose a full floral order over a corroded battery.
The dealer wanted nearly twice what she paid me and couldn't see her until the next day. That part almost felt like a footnote by then.
