A community garden volunteer at the garden lot in National City on a Saturday told me she'd already been burned once. Another locksmith had charged her full price for a 2016 Fiat 500 key that never programmed correctly. The car would crank but the body control module killed fuel injection after two seconds. I used my SIP22 Lishi to verify the mechanical cut was at least correct, then connected through OBD with my IM608. I read the correct immobilizer password from the BCM, cleared the failed key data, and ran a clean programming sequence. Her flip key, FCC ID M3N-40821302, had all 4 buttons working plus a clean start with no fuel cutoff. I showed her the confirmation on my screen so she could see the key was fully learned this time.
She paid me $265. Dealer charges $450 for the same work. She'd already paid the first locksmith too, which I couldn't help with. But I could make sure this one was done correctly.
