An IT consultant called me on a Monday. He worked remote from his condo but had a client site visit Tuesday morning that wasn't moveable. His 2017 Fiat 500 needed a key replacement and the dealer told him Wednesday at the earliest, possibly Thursday if the blank wasn't in stock.

The job on a 2017 500 means cutting the blade to the vehicle and programming both the remote functions and the transponder to the immobilizer. I connected my programmer, ran the sequence, and got the new fob enrolled. Then the part that matters most: blade into the ignition, turn it, let it sit, confirm the immobilizer accepted it and the engine held. No crank-and-stall. Doors locked, unlocked, trunk release worked on button four.
Total time on site was about 25 minutes.
He made his client visit Tuesday. The dealer route would have cost him the visit, a rental car both ways, and a tow. What he paid me was a fraction of that combined. The Monday call, Monday fix part is what he kept coming back to while I was packing up.
