If the battery swap doesn't clear it, try the backup method: hold the fob body directly against the start button and press the brake. That uses a passive signal path that doesn't depend on battery strength, and it'll get you moving if a weak battery is still the underlying issue.

What you don't want to do is keep cycling the ignition repeatedly trying to force it. If a fresh battery and the direct-contact method both fail, the issue could be the fob's transponder, the vehicle's antenna loop, or something in the security system itself. That's a diagnostic call, not a parts swap, and that's where I come in.

I bought a replacement fob online for my 2025 Telluride. Can I program it myself?
