His Smart Key, FCC ID KR55WK50138, was a 5-button car-shaped smart key. On his model year, the AKL procedure stayed OBD-based without needing a bench pull. I made him a spare too.
His car started in the same trailhead lot. Total was around $389. Dealer wanted $712 plus a tow from a canyon trailhead no flatbed was reaching quickly.
