The dealer process for a 2019 Acura TLX key goes like this. You call and get transferred to service. You schedule an appointment, usually days out. You figure out how to get a car with no working key to the dealership, which probably means a tow. You sit in a waiting room. You pay 545 plus whatever the tow cost. Then you drive home and half your day is gone for one key.
An IT director at a corporate campus in Santa Barbara couldn't do any of that.
