Cadillac smart key programming isn't a dealer-only procedure. The car's body control module checks the fob's transponder chip through a proximity antenna. Programming means registering a new chip code with that module. I do it through the OBD port under the dash with a diagnostic computer. No dealer bay, no lift, no GM subscription software for most Cadillac models on the road right now.
