She landed after a red-eye flight, walked to the airport economy lot, and her 2023 GMC Acadia wouldn't respond to the key fob because the CR2032 battery in the remote was dead. The car was locked, the emergency blade slot was inside the center console she couldn't reach, and the liftgate wouldn't pop without the remote signal. She drove home that same morning. Total was about 294. The dealer would have been 499 plus $185 in towing and a two-day wait. She skipped all of that and was home before lunch.
