2007 GMC Acadia
Key Replacement - Save vs Dealer in Ventura County

2007 GMC Acadia Transponder Key Replacement - Fast, Affordable & Professional

Out in the Big Sky neighborhood, a woman called me about her 2007 Acadia sitting cold in the driveway. She'd had one key and it had been through some things: worn down, bent a little, and now the car wasn't having it. It would crank but die almost immediately, and the security light on the dash was telling on the situation.

She'd already called the dealer. They wanted her to tow it in and said she'd be waiting a couple of days minimum before they could even look at it. She found me the same morning she called them.

I came out to Big Sky with my cutter and my programmer. The original key was worn enough that it wasn't reading reliably, which is a real thing on these older GM transponder setups. I cut a fresh blade to her vehicle and programmed the transponder to the immobilizer right there in her driveway. The whole job was done before she needed to be anywhere, and she paid a fraction of what the dealer route would have cost her, not counting the tow she didn't need.

She asked if she should get a spare while I was there. I said yes, and she did. That's the right call every time.
