A customer at the mosque lot in Port Hueneme told me he'd already been burned. Another locksmith charged him full price for a 2022 Kia RIO key that never programmed correctly. I cleared the failed key data, ran a clean IMMO learn with the proper PIN and security sequence, and confirmed the new key was permanently written. His fob, FCC ID NY0SYEC4F0B1611, had all 4 buttons working plus a clean start. I showed him the confirmation screen.
He paid me 248. Dealer charges 439. He'd already paid the first locksmith too. But I could make sure it was done right this time.
