I got a call from a guy parked near the Brown Field Area, not far from the airfield, on a warm afternoon. He had his 2009 Volvo V70 and a fob that had been getting flakier for weeks. I cleaned the contact points, tested every function, and walked the car to confirm the immobilizer was reading the key correctly at start.
The whole thing took about fifteen minutes. He had been dreading a dealer trip and a multi-day wait. That was an afterthought by the time I left.
