I used my HU66 Lishi to decode the lock from the door side where the wafers were clean, then cut the key and programmed the transponder through OBD. His key, FCC ID YGOHUF8423, was a 4-button remote. The transponder learn took one OBD cycle and the car started on the first turn.
He was back on the highway in under an hour from when he called, and the total was $338. Dealer would have charged $612 plus a tow and a multi-day wait. For older Volvo platforms with the standard blade, a worn key at a rest stop is one of the quickest jobs I run.
