My key shell is cracking. Can you fix it without reprogramming?▼

Yes. Chevy key shells crack over time, especially around the key ring loop and the flip mechanism. You can transfer the original circuit board and transponder chip into a new shell without any reprogramming. A Colorado owner was told to buy a replacement shell on Amazon for about 10 dollars and swap the board and battery over.
