From there I connected through OBD and ran the smart key all-keys-lost procedure, which clears old key data and registers the new fob. His smart key, FCC ID HYQ14FBZ, was a 4-button proximity fob cut, chipped, and programmed on the spot.
His car started in the same marina lot. Total was around 329. Dealer wanted 602 plus a tow and a multi-day wait. Lock decode to engine running took about 50 minutes.
