2017 Audi A7 Key Replacement - Fast, Affordable & Professional
A guy over in Eden Gardens, Solana Beach flagged me down through a mutual contact. He had one key left for his 2017 Audi A7 and it was getting worn down enough that he was starting to miss the ignition on the first try. He wanted a spare before it got worse. Reasonable thinking.
He had already called the dealer. They quoted him a number that made him pause, told him to bring the car in, and gave him a window of a few days before they could even look at it. He figured that was just how it worked for an Audi.
I came out to the vehicle. The job was cutting a replacement key to match his A7. I decoded the existing worn key and cut a new blade on site, tested it in the door lock, tested it in the ignition. Clean turn both ways. No stall, no warning on the dash, no drama.
He held both keys up and compared them. The new one actually looked better than the original at that point.
He saved a good chunk compared to the dealer path, and he did not have to drive anywhere or wait days. That is usually the moment when people realize mobile locksmith service is not a backup plan. It is just the better option.
