A flight attendant on a layover at the brunch cafe in Ramona on a Sunday told me she had already been burned. Another locksmith charged her full price for a 2015 Audi Q7 key that never programmed correctly. The car would crank but the immobilizer cut fuel after two seconds. Classic failed IMMO learn. I connected through OBD with my IM608. The IM608 cleared the failed key data from the previous attempt, read a fresh PIN from the immobilizer, ran a clean registration with the correct security timer, and confirmed the key was permanently written. Her fob, FCC ID IYZ3314, had all 3 buttons working plus a clean start with no two-second fuel cutoff.
She paid me $264. The dealer charges $492. She had already paid the first locksmith too. What I could do was make sure the job was actually done right this time.
