She called me about a cracked fob housing on her 2025 GV80. Once I confirmed the internals were undamaged, I transferred the board, chip, and battery contacts into the new housing, reseated everything, and cut a fresh emergency blade from the decoded original so she'd have a working mechanical backup inside the new shell.
Then the part that actually matters: I walked every function. Lock, unlock, the liftgate button, each of the seven buttons until they all registered clean. Range check from across the driveway. She watched the whole thing.
