2019 Kia Stinger Smart Key Replacement - Fast, Affordable & Professional
A travel nurse on a 13-week contract called me from an apartment garage in the Sweetwater area of National City. She had already called the dealer before she called me. They told her Friday. It was Monday.
She was doing shift work at a hospital and losing her car for four days meant paying for rides every single morning and night. The Stinger was sitting right there, fully operable, and she just needed a working key added to the system.
I pulled up to the garage that same afternoon. The job on a 2019 Stinger is an OBD registration through diagnostic equipment, no ignition cylinder to turn, no button sequence that gets you there on your own. I connected my programmer, ran the smart key registration for her vehicle, and cut the emergency insert blade to match her door and ignition.
The whole thing took less time than her commute to the hospital. I walked every function before I packed up: proximity detection at both doors, start confirmation, lock and unlock, and the emergency blade in the door cylinder just to be thorough.
She drove herself to work Tuesday morning. The dealer was still penciling her in for Friday.
