2020 Kia Stinger Smart Key Replacement - Fast, Affordable & Professional
A woman who teaches yoga at a studio near RB Town Center texted me before I even left my previous stop. VIN, a photo of her registration, and a quick description: she had one working key and wanted a spare made before she lost that one too. She had clearly been putting it off for a while.
With the VIN in hand I already knew the key configuration and had a compatible blank prepped in the van by the time I pulled into the parking lot. She met me outside, handed over the working key without me having to ask twice, and went back inside to finish a class.
The Stinger's immobilizer requires the vehicle to be present and awake during programming. That means the job happens at the car, not on a bench somewhere. I connected to the OBD port, completed the security access to pull the PIN, cut the blade to match her existing key, and ran the enrollment sequence. Both keys tested at every function before I knocked on the studio door.
She came out, I showed her both fobs working, and she said she wished she had done it six months ago instead of driving around with a single key. That part I hear a lot.
The dealer had quoted her a wait of several days just to get an appointment, plus a parts order. She paid a fraction of what they wanted and did not lose a single work day.
