There's a parking garage off Carmel Mountain Road that I've been to more times than I can count. Medical offices, professional suites, the kind of place where people run on tight schedules and have zero margin for car trouble.
This particular call came in around noon on a Tuesday. The owner of a 2015 Lincoln MKC had been pressing the start button and getting nothing. No response from the fob buttons either. The timed access window on these takes a few minutes to cycle, so I just waited it out. Once the pairing confirmed, she walked out between meetings to a car that started normally and a fob with all five buttons working.
The dealer would have needed a scheduled appointment, a tow since the car wasn't drivable, and at minimum a full day. She paid a fraction of that and never left the building. The car sat in the same spot the whole time.
