I got a call from a guy in Loma Alta, Oceanside, who had snapped his only 626 key off in the door lock. Not in the ignition, in the door lock, which meant he couldn't even get in to check the glovebox for a spare.

He asked what the dealer would have done. Honestly, the dealer would have told him to tow it in, because a lot of service writers don't know what a mobile locksmith can do on a mechanical key car. He saved himself a tow bill and a wait, on top of whatever the key itself would have cost at the counter.
