2002 Oldsmobile Bravada
Key Replacement - Save vs Dealer in San Diego

2002 Oldsmobile Bravada Remote Replacement - Fast, Affordable & Professional

I got a call from someone out in Harbison Canyon, Alpine. She had a 2002 Bravada, and the remote had been acting up for weeks. Doors stopped responding, then the panic button quit. She figured it was the battery and let it go. Then one morning she walked out and the remote did nothing at all.

She had already been to the dealer. They quoted her a wait, a parts order, and a number she did not want to hear. So she found me instead.

I pulled up to her place with the fob already sourced. Popped the old one open on my tailgate just to check -- the CR2032 inside was original, still dated from the early 2000s. Corroded contacts, low voltage, the works. But the housing had also taken some damage, one of the clips was cracked, and the board inside had a faint moisture stain near the edge. That fob was done.

Swapped in the replacement, programmed it to the vehicle at the OBD port, and ran the full test. Locks, unlocks, panic, range check walking back across her driveway. Everything came back clean. Car started fine.

She paid a fraction of what the dealer wanted and did not have to leave Harbison Canyon to do it. That is usually how these go.
