A collision repair tech at a body shop in Downtown Santee called me on a Tuesday afternoon. His shop had done a front-end repair on a customer's 2016 ProMaster City and somewhere in that process, the van's key situation got complicated. The reset took. New fob registered clean on the first attempt after the fault clear. I tested the emergency key blade in the door cylinder, confirmed the proximity functions, and walked the tech through what had happened so he could explain it to the customer.
Total time was just under ninety minutes, most of that being the careful setup before I ever started the programming sequence. The customer had already been quoted a flatbed tow to the dealer and a multi-day wait. They ended up getting their van back the same afternoon, for a fraction of what the dealer was asking.
