2016 Volkswagen CC Remote Flip Key Replacement - Fast, Affordable & Professional
I got a call from a driver in Bressi Ranch, in that stretch near the shopping center on Palomar Airport Road. He worked a food delivery route and his 2016 Volkswagen CC was his only car.
He'd found me through a review that described a VW flip key job in enough detail that he knew I actually did the work, not just talked about it. That kind of specificity means something to people who depend on their car for income.
He had one working key, worn down, and wanted a spare before the original gave out entirely. Smart thinking. All-keys-lost on a VW is a more involved job than adding a second key while one is still present.
I set up on the lot, pulled the dealer part number fob he'd already ordered online, and went to work. On the CC, adding a key means reading the PIN data through the OBD port first. Without that, you're not registering anything. Once I had what I needed, I precoded the transponder to match his car, programmed the remote functions, and cut the blade to his vehicle.
The whole thing ran about thirty minutes. He watched most of it, asked a few questions about what would happen if he lost both keys down the road. I told him honestly: all-keys-lost is doable but it takes longer and costs more, which is exactly why he was smart to do this now.
He tested the key himself. Locked, unlocked, started it twice. Walked away with a working spare and didn't have to sit in a dealer waiting room half his afternoon.
